We are looking for a Full Time ##employmenttype## Kitchen Porter to join the team in our Restaurant in Houghton Hall Garden Centre.
Our competitive rates of pay range from £10 to £12.25 per hour dependent on age.
The hours for this role are 40 per weekover 5 days. All positions include weekends working so flexibility is a must.
The Role
As a Kitchen Porter, you will provide a critical service to both our front and back of house operation ensuring a constant supply of clean crockery, cutlery and equipment. You will be trained in the safe operation of the pot wash equipment and take responsibility for a productive and clean work area.
What you will be doing as a Kitchen Porter?
- Using equipment, process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.
- Make sure waste is disposed of using appropriate recycling bins
- Take care to avoid breakages
- Ensure all crockery and dishes are cleaned properly before being used
- Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
- Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
