We are looking for a Part Time Permanent Weekend Front of House Assistant to join the team in our Restaurant in Houghton Hall Garden Centre. Our competitive rate of pay ranges from £10 to £12.25 per hour depending on age. The hours for this role are 16 per week (Saturday & Sunday).
The Role
- As a Front of House Assistant, you are responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking orders, and serving our fantastic food and drinks to customers.
- You must have full knowledge of the food and beverage menus and work closely with FOH and kitchen teams to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
What you will be doing as a Front of House Assistant
- Set up and maintain the front of house and counters each day to company standards
- Present menus, serve, and help customers select food and beverage by offering suggestions
- Provide Counter Service and prepare beverages
- Deliver Chef‑prepared meals to customers at their tables
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to hygiene and cleanliness
- Process payment at electronic till points
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed
- Close front of house areas each day to company standards
- May be required to assist with back of house duties
