We are looking for a Full Time Permanent experienced Butchery Assistant to join the team in our Food Hall in Klondyke Garden Centre. Our competitive rate of pay ranges from £10 to £12.25 per hour dependent on age. The hours for this role are 34 hours over 4 days. This will involve regular weekend work so flexibility is a must.
As a Butchery Assistant you will work as part of the Butchery Team to prepare a range of freshly prepared meat. You’ll be passionate about quality and freshness and sharing your knowledge with our customers to help them make their own fabulous meals.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and cutting specific joints/cuts of meat.
- Setting up counter displays.
- Packing and labelling meat cuts for display fridges.
- Serving customers, advising and making recommendations.
- Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste.
- Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards.
- Close down butcher prep and counter area each day including preparation for the following day.
