We are looking for a Part Time Weekend Kitchen Porter to join the team in our Restaurant in Garforth Garden Centre.

Our competitive rates of pay range from £10 to £12.25 per hour depending on age. This is a weekend role only, with 15 hours per week (Saturday and Sunday).

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will provide a critical service to both our front and back of house operation, ensuring a constant supply of clean crockery, cutlery and equipment. You will be trained in the safe operation of the pot wash equipment and take responsibility for a productive and clean work area.

What you will be doing as a Kitchen Porter

  • Use equipment to process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.
  • Dispose of waste using appropriate recycling bins.
  • Take care to avoid breakages.
  • Ensure all crockery and dishes are cleaned properly before being used.
  • Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards.
  • Close down the kitchen each day, including preparation for the following day.
