We are looking for a Full Time Permanent Cook to join the team in our Coffee Shop in Howdens Garden Centre. Our competitive rate of pay is £13.01 per hour. Hours for the role are 40 per week over 5 days. All positions include weekend working so flexibility is a must.

The Role

  • As a Cook, you will be responsible for producing a range of meals and snacks from our menu.
  • You will work as part of a small team under the guidance of the Coffee Shop Manager and be passionate about freshly prepared food served with the highest levels of customer service.

What you will be doing as a Cook?

  • Prepare fresh ingredients
  • Prepare hot and cold food orders to order
  • Monitor stock levels and contribute towards the ordering process
  • Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste
  • Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
  • Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
