As farm manager you will be responsible for all day‑to‑day running of agricultural operations on the farm, which spans 1,050 hectares of mixed upland and in‑by grazing, as well as arable land. The farm houses a herd of 1,200 cross cattle and 300 pedigree Galloway cattle. You will lead an established team and oversee the production of high‑quality pedigree beef.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily farm operations, including livestock care, crop production and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
• Collaborate with farm shops, restaurants and food halls across Scotland and Northern England to support supply chain.
• Develop and implement sustainable farming practices.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in farm management or a related field.
• Understanding of cattle herd management and arable production.
• Excellent record‑keeping skills.
• A Health & Safety conscious approach.
• Full clean UK driver’s licence (mandatory), Certificate of Competence for the Welfare of Animals (transport) 2006 (desirable).
