We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead our St Helens manufacturing facility, a key site within our European trays manufacturing network. The site produces kp Infinity®, an innovative recyclable Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) packaging solution supporting the food industry’s transition toward more sustainable and circular packaging. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well‑established manufacturing operation that plays an important role in delivering innovative food packaging solutions while driving operational excellence, continuous improvement and the next phase of site development.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the St Helens manufacturing site, ensuring safe, efficient and cost‑competitive operations. You will report to the Senior Operations Director and work closely with a network of European manufacturing leaders to share best practices and drive operational excellence across the business. You will lead the local leadership team and be responsible for developing a strong operational culture focused on safety, performance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion a strong safety culture ensuring the wellbeing of employees and visitors
  • Lead all manufacturing operations, including production, engineering, maintenance, logistics and site administration
  • Deliver best‑in‑class quality and service performance for customers
  • Drive operational excellence through improvement of key KPIs including OEE, productivity and scrap reduction
  • Manage the site budget and operational cost base
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, Six Sigma and TPM
  • Support automation and operational efficiency programmes
  • Develop and lead multi‑disciplinary teams, building engagement and accountability

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven manufacturing leadership experience (Site Manager, Plant Manager or similar)
  • Strong background in production operations and performance management
  • Experience managing cross‑functional manufacturing teams
  • Continuous improvement mindset with exposure to Lean, TPM or Six Sigma
  • Strong financial and operational understanding
  • Experience in packaging, plastics or food‑related manufacturing would be advantageous.
