Overview
As Machine Setter in the Extrusion Department, you ensure safe, efficient and self-sufficient cell operation. You’ll support equipment reliability, performance and changeovers, collaborating with the Operational Team Leader. You’ll perform first-line maintenance, identify faults and help maintain production output. This role blends hands-on mechanical/electrical work with continuous improvement to reduce downtime. You’ll contribute to sustainability and quality while developing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Promote HSSE culture and zero-accident mindset

- Perform first-line maintenance per plan
- Set tooling, manage product changeovers to plan
- Maintain manufacturing performance to plan daily
- Control processes and drive continuous improvement
- Document process activities
- Train and mentor colleagues
- Cover for Machine Operative / Packing as needed
- Solve problems within the cell
- Move and control materials
Key requirements
- Level 2 Mechanical or Electrical NVQ (or equivalent qualification) is essential
- Understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems and equipment
- Ability to perform basic repairs, fault finding and first-line maintenance safely
- Ability to follow written company procedures
- Reliable timekeeping and attendance
