Are you passionate about workplace wellbeing and confident on a factory floor as well as in a meeting room? We are creating a brand-new role at Klöckner Pentaplast (kp) — and we are looking for someone who can shape it with us.

Purpose of the job: The Employee Wellbeing Partner supports the development of a proactive, practical wellbeing approach across our UK operations. The role focuses on improving overall employee wellbeing by identifying themes, raising awareness, and supporting the delivery of initiatives that contribute to a positive and sustainable workplace culture. Working closely with HR and HSE, the Employee Wellbeing Partner acts as a subject matter expert and enabler — complementing existing functions and bringing wellbeing to life where it matters most: on site, with our people.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of a wellbeing approach across UK sites, initially focusing on St Helens and Featherstone
  • Identify key wellbeing themes and trends across sites (e.g. absence patterns, engagement, fatigue), providing insight to HR and leadership teams
  • Design and deliver practical wellbeing initiatives (e.g. awareness sessions, campaigns, employee engagement activities) tailored to site needs
  • Work closely with HR to support wellbeing-related topics, providing expertise, ideas and content to strengthen existing initiatives
  • Collaborate with HSE and other functions where relevant, while ensuring clear boundaries of responsibility
  • Engage directly with employees on site to raise awareness and encourage participation in wellbeing initiatives
  • Support the organisation of wellbeing events, workshops and campaigns, ensuring visibility and uptake
  • Liaise with external providers (e.g. occupational health, wellbeing partners) where required
  • Stay informed on best practices and bring practical, relevant ideas into the business

Functional knowledge and skills:

  • Sound understanding of workplace wellbeing, health promotion or related practice, and how it applies in an operational environment
  • Ability to translate wellbeing ideas into simple, effective, site-appropriate initiatives
  • Awareness of data and trends, with the ability to identify areas of focus and provide meaningful insight
  • Understanding of the boundaries between wellbeing support and clinical services (occupational health, EAP), and confidence in signposting appropriately

Educational requirements/qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant background in wellbeing, health promotion, psychology, occupational health or a related field
  • Experience in a site-based or operational environment (manufacturing experience advantageous)
  • Experience designing or delivering employee-facing initiatives, events or campaigns
  • Full UK driving licence (regular travel between UK sites is part of the role)

Key competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels — from shop floor to leadership
  • Practical, hands-on and visible: comfortable being present in operations and building trust face to face
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple locations with minimal supervision
  • Well organised, with good coordination skills and follow-through
  • Positive, inclusive and credible — someone people find easy to talk to

What makes this role special: This is a new role within kp FP UK — with genuine scope to shape it and evolve it based on impact over time. The initial focus is on selected sites, with potential to expand following evaluation. If you want a wellbeing role where you see the people you support every week, not just in a survey — this is it.
