The Finance Business Partner acts as a strategic advisor to operational and commercial teams, using financial insight to influence decision‑making and improve business performance. The role goes beyond traditional finance reporting by collaborating with allocated departments to ensure financial goals align with business strategy. Part of the Klipboard Finance Business Partnering team, this role will support the UK Rental, Automotive Catalogue & Data Solutions and Transport Management business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with department heads and senior managers to provide financial insights that guide decision‑making.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze revenues, costs, and profitability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Ongoing review and evaluation of all reported KPI’s to maintain relevance.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead budgeting and forecasting processes; provide variance analysis and insights.
- Performance Management: Monitor KPIs, conduct variance analysis, and recommend actions to improve performance.
- Strategic Support: Develop financial models for long‑term planning and assess viability of new initiatives.
- Cost Management: Work with managers to control costs and identify savings opportunities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Present financial reports and insights to senior leadership in a clear, actionable manner.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting.
- Project Support: Provide financial input for projects, including cost‑benefit analysis and post‑implementation reviews.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; professional accounting qualification preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years in finance roles, with at least 3 years in business partnering.
- Technical Skills: Strong financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting skills; proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to influence and drive change. Commercial acumen, analytical thinking, strategic mindset, relationship building, adaptability in a fast‑changing environment.
