As product marketing manager (PMM), you will tell the product’s story to the market. The PMM’s job is to understand the product’s value proposition and turn that information into compelling messages for customers, prospects, and internal audiences. It shall create white papers, case studies, benchmarks, brochures all utilised to support the value proposition. You will work closely with other product and marketing teams to support specific new product releases. In addition, you’ll assist with the development of innovative marketing initiatives designed to support the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product marketing for existing solutions
  • Developing user and buyer personas
  • Researching the market to learn the competitive environment
  • Working with the marketing team to create materials that highlight product features and benefits
  • Training the sales teams on articulating the products’ benefits to prospects
  • Assist with the creation and delivery of demand creation initiatives to generate awareness of the value propositions across KCS product range
  • Work with appropriate teams to develop high-level sales tools (such as case studies, references and white papers or event support for the regional marketing teams)
  • Internal announcements to the regional teams to ensure new information is released in a timely manner
  • Ensures all new materials and release information are available
  • Support New Product releases
  • Working from the agreed product release plan, collaborate with the appropriate teams to prepare a range of sales tools in preparation of product launches, which will vary depending on the product
  • Value proposition – Lead how to develop and write a strong value proposition and articulate why it is beneficial to our target market and potential customers

Skills, Knowledge And Experience

  • Degree educated in marketing, product development or a business-related field
  • A blend of marketing finesse, strategic thinking and product understanding
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey product value propositions to both internal and external audiences
  • Ability to understand technical software products and translate feature sets into value for customers
  • Collaboration; work closely with cross-functional teams such as product development, sales, marketing and customer support to align with overall business goals and strategy
  • Bring creative ideas for product positioning, messaging and promotional campaigns that stand out in the market
  • Proficient in data analysis to measure the success of content strategy, understand customer behaviour and make informed recommendations and decisions
  • Ability to quickly grasp and understand the features and benefits of our products to be marketed focusing on unique selling points
  • Previous experience in product marketing, especially in a product-focused role
  • Familiarity with the ERP industry and the target audience
