Key Responsibilities
- People & Culture: Build a positive, inclusive, and high-performing environment within the team. Provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring, and feedback to engineers. Support professional growth through coaching, pairing, and structured reviews. Encourage collaboration, psychological safety, and open communication. Model Klipboard’s values and reinforce accountability and integrity.
- Software Delivery & Operations: Ensure predictable delivery of product features and bug fixes against agreed plans. Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and estimation sessions. Track progress, manage risks, and report delivery status transparently. Drive quality practices across development, testing, and release activities. Embed AI-assisted tooling and automation to improve productivity and documentation.
- Technical Excellence: Maintain strong hands-on technical knowledge relevant to the product. Review design and code to ensure maintainability, security, and performance. Champion Secure by Design principles and adherence to the Systems Development Security Policy (P-500). Partner with architects to evaluate new patterns, frameworks, and approaches. Support continuous integration, testing, and deployment improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and address bottlenecks in workflow or delivery. Encourage experimentation and learning from outcomes. Share lessons learned with peers and other leads to strengthen group capability. Contribute to knowledge base, playbooks, and technical documentation.
- Stakeholder & Communication: Act as the primary contact between the team and key stakeholders (Product, QA, Architecture). Translate business goals into actionable engineering tasks. Communicate clearly on priorities, trade-offs, and progress. Handle conflicts constructively and always maintain transparency. Represent the team’s achievements and challenges effectively to management.

- Proven experience leading a small engineering team or serving as a senior engineer/tech lead.

- Hands-on expertise in relevant technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures, CI/CD, and secure development practices.
Desirable
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS systems or large-scale enterprise software.
- Understanding of AI-assisted coding and modern developer productivity tools.
- Exposure to DevOps pipelines and monitoring practices.
