Job Responsibilities:
- Work as a Finance Consultant within the Implementation Department, delivering consultancy services to customers.
- Assist in demonstrating, business discovery, installation, training, and implementation of Klipboard systems at customer sites.
- Work from Hungerford office or remotely to resolve support calls and collaborate with the Development team for system specifications and testing.
- Coordinate with other departments and customers during implementation to resolve issues arising from practical application of the software.
- Travel to customer sites across the UK, Scotland, Ireland, and possibly overseas. Own vehicle is essential.
- Lead within implementation teams for system installation and setup, advising on account-specific software modules.
- Provide training and demonstrations for Accounts and related applications, supporting pre-sale activities.
- Ensure all customer documentation is completed and the customer is prepared for go-live.
- Support ongoing customer queries and problems post-implementation, including support calls and remote assistance.
- Collaborate with the development team on software modifications and testing.
- Train colleagues and customers on modified software to ensure smooth project handovers.
- Complete and submit consultancy documentation and timesheets promptly.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Business-level accounting knowledge.
- Experience as a consultant for a software house or in distribution sector ERP businesses.
- Knowledge of accounting practices, transactions, month-end, year-end, and audits.
- ERP system configuration, installation, and implementation experience, especially related to accounting processes.
- Understanding of project methodologies like PRINCE 2 is advantageous.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
Desirable Skills:
- AAT or recognized accountancy qualification.
- Knowledge of ERP database platforms like Oracle.
Personal Skills:
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiently.
