At Klipboard, we have introduced a flexible hybrid work policy, where employees spend three days in the office and two days working from home. This approach promotes a balanced work environment that combines office collaboration with the comfort and convenience of remote work.

Klipboard provides specialist software, services, and support to deliver fully integrated trading and business management solutions to companies in the distributive trade – wherever they are in the world. With a unique depth of knowledge and experience in ERP/SaaS solutions, Klipboard has a wide range of clients including wholesalers, distributors, merchants, and retailers from small traders to multinational enterprises. Our mission is simple: to design and deliver high performance, integrated ERP solutions that enable our distributive trade customers to source effectively, stock efficiently, sell profitably, and service competitively.

This role exists to make that happen. As ERP Cloud Sales Specialist, you will own the commercial motion to migrate Klipboard’s existing on-premises ERP customer base into our cloud-hosted platforms on Azure and Oracle Cloud. You’ll work a defined, warm customer base identifying customers running on-prem, building urgency around the risks and costs of staying there, and closing them into Klipboard’s fully managed cloud hosting. This is a quota-carrying sales role. You will be measured on customers migrated and recurring revenue generated from cloud hosting conversions.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Customers Migrated: Number of customers migrated from on-premises to Klipboard cloud hosting
  • Cloud Hosting ARR: Monthly and annual recurring revenue generated from cloud hosting conversions
  • Pipeline Generation: Qualified opportunities created against the existing customer base
  • Conversion Velocity: Speed from initial engagement to signed cloud hosting agreement
  • KIT Attach Rate: Percentage of cloud customers introduced to and adopting KIT managed services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement & Commercial Ownership: Lead sales conversations with existing Klipboard ERP customers to drive cloud migration. Analyse customer environments (on-premises, data centre, hybrid) and present the right migration path. Build urgency around end-of-life hardware, security exposure, and the operational cost of staying on-prem. Articulate the commercial and operational benefits of running ERP in Klipboard’s managed cloud: resilience, performance, supportability, and long-term cost control. Own your pipeline: build it, forecast it, and close it within CRM.
  • Cloud & ERP Solution Positioning: Position Klipboard’s cloud hosting as a fully managed solution covering ERP hosting, cybersecurity, and infrastructure services. Explain the differences between Azure, Oracle Cloud, and hybrid hosting options at a commercial level. Demonstrate enough technical credibility to hold confident conversations with IT managers, while leaning on specialist teams for deep technical scoping. Guide customers on how cloud hosting improves availability, disaster recovery, and scalability for their ERP workloads.
  • KIT by Klipboard: Managed Services Introduction: Identify natural opportunities to introduce KIT by Klipboard during the cloud migration conversation. Position managed IT services (endpoint management, cybersecurity, support, monitoring) as a logical extension for customers already trusting Klipboard with their cloud infrastructure. Warm qualified leads for the KIT team rather than running full managed services sales cycles independently.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Klipboard’s ERP configuration and platform teams to ensure migration scope is technically feasible and properly sized. Act as the commercial bridge between ERP product specialists and cloud infrastructure teams. Support the wider sales team on new business opportunities where cloud hosting and ERP migration are part of the proposition. Collaborate with cybersecurity partners, cloud vendors, and ERP product teams across the Klipboard ecosystem.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven track record in a sales or commercially-focused role: ideally selling cloud services, hosting, or IT solutions to an existing customer base.
  • Comfortable owning a number: pipeline generation, forecasting, and closing.
  • Commercial and/or technical understanding of ERP systems, ideally in cloud or hybrid deployment scenarios.
  • Awareness of the commercial triggers that drive ERP cloud migration, such as hardware end-of-life, licensing renewals, compliance requirements, and escalating on-premises support costs.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, Oracle Cloud, or similar): enough to be credible, not necessarily to architect solutions.
  • Understanding of hosting concepts: compute, storage, networking, DR, backups, and high availability.
  • Strong communication skills: able to simplify technical concepts for FDs and MDs while maintaining credibility with IT managers.
  • Experience working a structured sales process against a defined customer base.

Desirable:

  • Experience with ERP migrations from on-premises to cloud.
  • Exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure, Oracle Cloud, AWS).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles (identity protection, MFA, threat prevention).
  • Experience working within or alongside managed service providers.
  • Familiarity with SQL or Oracle-based applications and performance considerations of ERP workloads.
  • Relevant cloud certifications are beneficial but not required.

Equal Opportunities:

As a global company, we value and respect the diversity of our workforce, aiming to empower everyone to embrace each other’s differences. We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where diversity, equity, and inclusion are integral to our company and culture. We recognise the benefits of a diverse workforce, where creativity and valuing differences enable us all to thrive and sparks innovation.

If you require any help, adjustments and/or support during the interview and offer process then please advise our TA or HR team. Research shows that women and other underrepresented groups are less likely to apply for a role unless they meet every listed requirement. However, we recognise that skills and experience come in many forms, and we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every criterion. If you are passionate about this role and believe you have the right mindset and transferrable skills, we would love to hear from you!
