As an Area Sales Manager at KLINGER UK, you will be a driven and commercially focused individual responsible for leading the growth of our Products & Services business across the South of England. This role will manage key accounts and develop new business opportunities within sectors including Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, Food & Beverage and Marine, using a consultative, solution-based sales approach.
The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time engaging with customers both in person and virtually, balancing account management with new customer development, while also supporting opportunities across OEM's, distribution partners, projects and third-party service providers. Occasional travel to our UK facilities for meetings and training will also be required.
- Maintain, develop and grow existing Key Accounts for the assigned territory.
- Be the key point of contact for the local Service Centre ensuring commercial activities are coordinated and targeted.
- Be responsible for the sales area performance compared with the agreed sales/EBIT targets.
- Develop new accounts to increase market share in all strategically important market segments.
- Understand the business, market, future development plans and maintenance schedules of potential and existing accounts.
- Use the company CRM system for all appointments, activities and customer reports whilst keeping the records up to date.
- Work with the local Service Centre Customer Service team to maximise opportunities, be effective and operate in the most efficient way.
- Organise all activities to maximise sales development time and communication with existing and potential customers.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving license (Essential)
- Experience within customer facing sales roles (Essential)
- Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or degree qualification (Desirable)
- Previous experience in Oil & Gas industry (Desirable)
- Strong experience and ability to prospect, negotiate, and close sales
