ABOUT THE CLIENT: Our client is a well-established town planning consultancy with a dedicated landscape architecture team that plays a vital role in supporting development through evidence-based assessments and planning submissions. With a collaborative, professional environment and a varied national project portfolio, they are now seeking a Landscape Architect with excellent report writing skills to join their team in Manchester or Newcastle.

THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT ROLE: This is a key role supporting the planning process with high-quality written outputs, including Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA), Townscape and Visual Impact Assessments (TVIA), Landscape Appraisals, Design and Access Statements, and supporting planning reports. You will collaborate with planners, developers, and environmental consultants, ensuring landscape considerations are robustly represented in strategic planning decisions. While some design involvement may be required, this role is particularly suited to those with a passion for written analysis, policy understanding, and visual assessment.
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Degree in Landscape Architecture with at least 2 years' professional experience in the UK
- Proven ability to prepare and deliver LVIA, TVIA, and landscape-related planning documents
- Strong written communication, analytical and research skills
- Familiarity with the planning system and EIA process
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite, MS Office, and GIS or mapping software (desirable)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Eligibility to work in the UK
