Kleyn Healthcare is looking for a friendly, reliable and flexible Clinical Aide to support our ultrasound clinics across Warrington and Huddersfield. This role would suit someone who is confident working with the public, has a caring and professional manner, and is happy to travel between clinic sites. Previous healthcare experience is helpful, but not essential, as training and support will be provided.

Main duties of the job

  • Acting as a chaperone during ultrasound procedures
  • Supporting sonographers and consultant radiologists with patient care
  • Preparing clinical areas and maintaining a clean, safe environment
  • Assisting with the transport, setup, and basic maintenance of portable scanning equipment
  • Logging in and setting up IT systems for clinical use
  • Helping ensure each clinic runs smoothly and efficiently

This is an ideal role for someone with previous experience in healthcare or another patient-facing role, but we also welcome applicants new to the sector who have excellent communication skills, empathy, and a willingness to learn.

About us

Modern and progressive Diagnostic Service looking to employ people with excellent communication, I.T. and interpersonal skills. Working zero contract (which will be reviewed) up to 16 hours per week, in a clinical environment with a requirement to work overtime, subject to service demands, based in Warrington & Huddersfield working across sites to deliver our services. Car is essential with this post. Occasional office based work could be included in this post.

Job responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable
  • Assisting with chaperoning where required
  • Preparing clinic rooms before and after sessions
  • Supporting infection control and cleaning processes
  • Helping with patient flow and general clinic support
  • Ensuring rooms are stocked, tidy and ready for use
  • Uploading ultrasound reports into SystmOne
  • Transferring ultrasound images from the ultrasound machines onto SharePoint
  • Transporting ultrasound machines/equipment to and from clinic sites
  • Liaising with the admin and clinical teams where needed

Person Specification

  • Public-facing experience, such as healthcare, customer service, care, reception, hospitality or similar.
  • A friendly, approachable and professional manner.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Business insurance on your vehicle, as the role involves transporting ultrasound machines/equipment between sites.
  • Flexibility to work across Warrington and Huddersfield sites.
  • Reliability and good timekeeping.
  • Confidence using IT systems, including uploading documents and transferring images/files securely.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous healthcare, HCA or clinical aide experience.
  • Experience in ultrasound, diagnostics or outpatient clinics.
  • Experience using SystmOne.
  • Chaperone training.
  • Basic life support training.
  • Infection control training.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
