The Klesch Group has an opportunity for up to six graduates to join our internship programme for a period of 3-12 months, commencing July 2026. Interns may have the opportunity to rotate across a number of our teams, depending on their interests and business needs during the programme. The internship will be based in London or Geneva, with the possibility of occasional travel to other offices and our refineries for short business trips.
The successful interns will support some of the respective teams in:
- M&A activity including:
- Financial modelling and valuation of businesses/assets
- Participating in negotiations or external/internal meetings
- Coordinating due diligence efforts
- Preparing offer letters and term sheets
- Reviewing legal documents
- Researching
- Risk activity including:
- Assist in risk reporting, gathering and analysing data related to price movements
- Supporting daily exposure and P&L monitoring
- Help to maintain risk models and tools including updating market data inputs, running stress tests and contributing to scenario analysis
- Participate in managing controls, documenting processes and assisting with risk governance materials.
- Structured Finance and Accounts activity including:
- Reviewing and assisting with funding initiatives
- Liquidity forecasting
- Transactional finance
- Financial reporting
- Analytics activity including:
- Develop complex financial models for P&L forecasting with willingness to learn Excel, R and SQL
- Develop machine learning/AI techniques to perform predictive analytics and conduct neural network modelling for refinery operations
- Research for Trading desks related to molecule flows
- Data analysis on pricing etc.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Degree in a numerate discipline e.g. mathematics, economics, finance, engineering or similar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, and high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial valuation and modelling, advantageous.
- Demonstrates a proactive, solutions-orientated mindset and a willingness to take initiative, adapt to challenges and maintain a positive, collaborative approach in achieving goals.
- European languages would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Past work experience/internships in the commodities sector (oil and gas, mining and metals, chemicals, etc.) would be advantageous, but not essential.
