About the role

This is not a traditional System Analyst role. We are looking for someone who combines strong systems thinking, technical solution design, and AI‑assisted development practices. You will help transform business requirements into implementation‑ready specifications, technical designs, and AI prompts that accelerate software delivery. We believe AI is becoming a core part of software development. You will be expected to actively use AI tools to design solutions, prepare specifications, and accelerate delivery.

What you'll do:

  • Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications
  • Design technical solutions, system interactions, and implementation approaches
  • Create implementation‑ready documentation for engineering teams
  • Write structured AI prompts for engineering tasks, technical specifications, and solution design
  • Design APIs, integrations, data models, and business processes
  • Define edge cases, validation rules, permissions, error handling, and system behavior
  • Work closely with Product Managers to refine requirements and challenge assumptions
  • Collaborate with Engineers to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and secure
  • Review delivered functionality against specifications
  • Maintain technical documentation and knowledge base

What we're looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience as a System Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Solution Architect, Software Engineer, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and system design
  • Experience designing APIs, integrations, data models, and backend workflows
  • Ability to independently design technical solutions for complex business problems
  • Strong systems thinking and attention to detail
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to identify gaps, edge cases, technical risks, and implementation dependencies before development starts
  • Hands‑on experience using AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, or GitHub Copilot as part of the daily product development workflow
  • Ability to write structured, implementation‑ready AI prompts for engineering tasks, technical specifications, and solution design
  • Strong understanding of how to leverage AI to accelerate analysis, documentation, solution design, and software delivery
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to independently analyze data
  • Experience working with databases, logs, APIs, and technical documentation
  • Ability to work comfortably with our tech stack: Vue 3 + TypeScript, PHP, Go, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools

Nice to have:

  • Experience in fintech, payments, compliance, payroll, HRTech, or other operationally complex products
  • Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud‑native architectures
  • SQL and data analysis skills
  • Experience working in high‑growth startups or scale‑ups

Who will thrive here:

  • You enjoy turning ambiguity into clarity.
  • You don’t just document requirements – you design solutions.
  • You can discuss a business problem with a Product Manager in the morning and provide engineers with a complete implementation‑ready specification by the afternoon.
  • You care about building systems that are simple, scalable, and easy to maintain.
  • You see AI as a core part of modern product development, not as an optional productivity tool.

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks
