Join KLEEMANN UK GROUP, a global leader in the lift and elevator industry, as we continue to deliver excellence in vertical transportation. We are seeking an experienced QSEC Manager to lead and oversee all Quality, Safety, Environmental and Compliance activities across the UK business.
Scope of the Role
As QSEC Manager, you will have full responsibility for the Company’s Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Compliance frameworks, ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance while promoting a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will own the Integrated Management System (IMS), act as the Company’s senior point of contact for audits and regulators, and provide expert technical and regulatory guidance to operational and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality, Safety, Environmental & Compliance Leadership
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and systems covering Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Compliance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant UK legislation, industry regulations, lift regulations, and internal standards.
- Maintain and continuously improve the Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Monitor regulatory and legislative changes and ensure timely implementation across the business.
- Health & Safety Management
- Lead the Company’s Health & Safety strategy, ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and associated regulations.
- Oversee risk assessments, RAMS, COSHH assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, including RIDDOR reporting and corrective actions.
- Promote a positive safety culture through training, toolbox talks, and engagement initiatives.
- Audits, Governance & Reporting
- Lead internal audits, management reviews, and external certification audits.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulators, auditors, insurers, and accreditation bodies.
- Produce compliance, safety, and performance reports for senior leadership and Group as required.
- Data Protection & Security
- Act as the Company’s GDPR lead / Data Protection Officer, ensuring compliance with data protection legislation.
- Oversee document control, records management, and information security processes.
- Manage physical and operational security arrangements across sites, including incident investigations.
- Technical & Regulatory Support
- Provide technical regulatory support to field and sales teams, including derogation requests for low pit depth and reduced headroom, interpretation of technical standards and specifications, review of test sheets and technical documentation, completion of Declarations of Conformity for new installations, fire stopping compliance advice, and preparation and management of Building Safety Regulator (BSR) documentation.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a QSEC, HSEQ, or Compliance leadership role, ideally within engineering, construction, manufacturing, or a regulated technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, ISO standards, GDPR, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Experience managing audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organised, analytical, and proactive, with strong problem-solving capability.
Qualifications (Essential or Strongly Preferred)
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
- ISO Lead Auditor (9001 / 14001 / 45001) or equivalent.
- GDPR / Data Protection training or certification (desirable).
