Build the people strategy behind a scaling MedTech success story. We are supporting a high-growth, Scotland-based life sciences manufacturing business as they appoint an HR Manager to join their senior leadership team. This is not a maintenance HR role. It’s a build, shape and influence opportunity within a technically complex, purpose-driven organisation operating at the forefront of point-of-care diagnostics and IVD manufacturing.
You’ll work directly with the CEO and leadership team to create an environment that attracts, retains and develops high-performing talent—while ensuring the structure, rigour and compliance expected in a regulated setting.

You will take full ownership of the HR function, driving both operational excellence and longer-term people strategy. Key areas include:
- Leading all recruitment activity and managing external partners
- Owning onboarding and induction, ensuring a high-quality employee experience
- Managing and evolving employee benefits and reward frameworks
- Driving performance management, including annual review cycles
- Leading employee engagement and retention strategy, using data to inform decisions
- Designing and implementing training, leadership development, and coaching programmes
- Ensuring full compliance with UK employment law and HR best practice
- Acting as a trusted advisor to leadership on complex people matters
You’re an experienced HR leader who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You will likely bring:
- Strong experience in an HR leadership or standalone HR Manager role
- Deep understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Proven ability to build and improve HR processes and frameworks
- Experience managing performance, engagement, and development programmes
- Confidence handling complex employee relations situations
- A hands-on, pragmatic approach with the ability to influence at senior level
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g. MedTech, diagnostics, manufacturing) is highly advantageous.
