We’re partnering with an ambitious early-stage biotech company applying advanced machine learning to complex biological problems. This is a research-driven role for someone who wants to work on genuinely challenging problems at the intersection of deep learning and genomics.
You’ll work directly with senior technical leadership, contributing to the development of next-generation models and research frameworks.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and developing advanced deep learning models for biological data
- Working with sequence-based and multimodal datasets
- Exploring new architectures, training strategies, and evaluation approaches
- Contributing to longer-term research directions (including foundation models)
- Collaborating closely with bioinformatics and science teams
What we’re looking for:
- PhD in Machine Learning, AI, or a related field
- Strong experience with Python and PyTorch (or JAX)
- Track record of independent research (publications, thesis, or equivalent)
- Experience designing and training complex neural networks (e.g. transformers)
- Strong experimental and problem-solving mindset
Nice to have:
- Experience working with biological or sequence data
- Exposure to large-scale or foundation model training
- Interest in applying ML to real-world scientific problems
