Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of preschool teaching experience.
  • Work timings are any 9/4 hours between 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM.

General Description:

We are looking for Head Teachers who can provide a fun and enriching learning environment that addresses the cognitive, physical, personal, social, and emotional developmental needs of the children in their care. The ideal candidate will be a team player, acting as a role model for their team of teachers and staff by exemplifying the right KLAY values and code while planning and executing sessions, events, trips, and interacting with parents.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain required reports and records for every child in the class.
  • Ensure effective utilization of resources and work towards minimizing wastage.
  • Enhance the appeal of the centre/class with age-appropriate displays, learning resources, and fun activities.
  • Be well-versed with school policies and ensure adherence at all times.
  • Send regular and relevant communication to parents.
  • Create a fun and enriching environment for children by planning innovative activities and sessions.
  • Plan lesson plans and activities in advance.
  • Implement the approved lesson plan and keep children constructively occupied throughout the day.
  • Carry out regular observations and assessments of children.
  • Ideate, plan, and execute events, trips, and celebrations along with colleagues as per the Events Calendar.
  • Ensure the safety, health, hygiene, and security of the children along with the teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Guide assistant teachers and support staff, providing feedback as required.
  • Notify the centre head of any areas of concern.
  • Interact with parents to discuss children’s progress and needs during PTCs and as necessary.

  • Remain calm and composed at all times while being a good team player.
  • Demonstrate professional behavior while interacting with team members and parents.
  • Act as a guide to colleagues in times of doubt, helping them make appropriate decisions.
  • Set an example and show colleagues how to work more effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage time, resources, and stress effectively.
  • Serve as a role model to children and staff in terms of punctuality, respect, and responsibility.
  • Be enthusiastic, take initiative, and display ownership.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of early childhood development milestones and child-related concepts and practices.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
  • Good communication and presentation skills, both oral and written, especially in report writing.
  • Proficiency in creative work and storytelling skills.
