The Caledonian Edinburgh has embodied the best in Scottish hospitality for over a hundred years. The Role
The Night Auditor is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while ensuring the smooth overnight operation of the hotel’s front desk. This role includes managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, maintaining security, and responding to guest needs professionally and efficiently. The Night Auditor plays a key part in optimising guest satisfaction, ensuring compliance with hotel policies, and supporting operational efficiency during night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by warmly welcoming guests and addressing their needs.
- Handle guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Respond to guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner.
- Maintain security by monitoring access to the hotel and ensuring guest safety.
- Communicate clearly with other departments, including housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage guest reservations, billing, and payments accurately.
- Prepare and submit night audit reports and other required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Participate in team training sessions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
