Due to continued growth, we are expanding our Finance Team and are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Accountant to join our Glasgow Head Office. This is an ideal entry-level role for a motivated finance graduate looking to build a strong technical foundation and develop a long-term career in finance within a growing hospitality group. The role will actively support progression towards a technical qualified accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA), alongside structured on-the-job learning and development. The candidate will be part of an experienced group finance team, with the role providing an excellent learning and development opportunity to launch a successful career in finance.

The Role:

The Trainee Accountant will gain broad, hands-on exposure across the finance function, including commercial finance, statutory reporting, VAT, tax, treasury and group accounting. This role is designed to support structured learning and professional development while working closely with experienced finance professionals across a diverse portfolio of property and corporate entities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the preparation of monthly and quarterly management fee, rent and intercompany invoicing
  • Assisting with cost recharges, including capitalised labour and travel costs
  • Maintaining trackers for corporate and property-level costs and supporting internal recharge processes
  • Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end and quarter-end close activities
  • Providing treasury support, including cash reporting
