Group/Division SPTS wafer processing solutions include market‑leading silicon etch, dielectric etch, dry‑release etch, PVD, PECVD and molecular vapor deposition (MVD®), available with a range of wafer‑handling options applicable to R however, this position may also involve a small amount of international travel. Key Responsibilities: Mechanical design projects from concept to release as product. Designing mechanical components to operate in a vacuum environment. Working in multi‑disciplined project teams for systems design. Pneumatic systems design. Obsolescence engineering. Producing key reports from first principles to meet regulation requirements. Other documentation –Service Bulletins, Procedures, Reports, Engineering Drawings. Support activities: Support other areas of the business such as Manufacturing, Commodity and NPL departments. Bill of material cost control Supplier contact Building and testing prototypes Leading small projects from concept to implementation Mentoring to junior engineers Experience in the following areas is desirable but not essential: Previous experience of working in the semiconductor or hi‑technology related industry would be advantageous.
