Company Overview: The SPTS division of KLA designs, manufactures and markets wafer processing solutions for the global semiconductor and related industries. SPTS provides industry leading etch and deposition process technologies on a range of single wafer handling platforms. End-market applications include micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), advanced packaging, LED, high speed RF device IC’s and power semiconductors.
This role will be based in Celtic Lakes. Our new 237,000-square-foot Newport facility provides additional production and customer collaboration spaces, including 25,000 square feet of R&D clean rooms, 35,000 square feet of state-of-the-art manufacturing space and tool demo areas, all designed to support development of semiconductor process technologies across advanced packaging, power devices, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), radio frequency (RF) and photonics sector technology!
Job Description Summary: Working alongside our existing Procurement Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for procurement execution, supplier performance management, and supply risk mitigation to ensure timely material availability aligned with project and production needs!
Responsibilities:
- Procurement & Order Management
- Raise and handle purchase order requirements
- Review and process supplier quotations (RFQs)
- Maintain accurate procurement data (pricing, lead times, supplier details) within ERP systems
- Expediting & Delivery Management
- Proactively supervise supplier deliveries to ensure timely fulfilment of manufacturing requirements
- Expedite critical materials and negotiate revised delivery schedules where required
- Shortage & Risk Management
- Communicate supply risks to collaborators and advance issues where vital
- Drive solutions such as dual sourcing, re-prioritisation, and alternative materials to ensure continuity
- Supplier Management
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to improve delivery performance and responsiveness
- Lead regular supplier communications including delivery and cost management, to meet business objectives
- Look to minimise impact on supply chain through outsourcing methodologies – Going further up the Bills of Materials.
- Project & Collaborator Management
- Collaborate across departments to align supply with build plans and contribute to supply chain decision-making
- Provide regular material status updates and reporting to collaborators and senior management
- Review and understand impacts on Supply Chain decisions made.

- Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
- Shown experience in purchasing/procurement within a manufacturing or project-driven environment
- Strong communication and collaborator leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Proficient in IT tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (data handling and reporting capability expected)
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems for purchase order management and data maintenance
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and support sourcing decisions
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proactive problem-solving skills, particularly in supply risk and delivery challenges
- Knowledge of supplier management and expediting processes is advantageous
- CIPS qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not crucial
