Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Your primary responsibility will be to provide hardware maintenance support to the Etch Team, working on ICP, DSi-v, Rapier and Synapse modules. This will involve performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting machine failures and carrying out subsequent repairs, as well as assisting in the installation and start-up of new equipment in the demo lab. Additional responsibilities will include ensuring the clean room and parts storage areas are kept tidy, performing risk assessments, providing BA/ERT support and working with the Etch team to make sure safe operating practices are followed within the clean room.
In this position you will cover early and late shifts (6am-2pm, 1:30-9:30pm). Responsibilities will include:
- Equipment maintenance and development.
- Perform routine maintenance on Etch demo equipment and related facilities.
- Fix machine failures and carry out appropriate repairs to schedule.
- Assist in the installation and start-up of new equipment in the demo lab.
- Plan work and implement plans in a safe, sensible and timely manner.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance performed as well as parts/inventory.
- Contribute to the work of development project teams.
- Communicate results and ideas to relevant co-workers (e.g. other engineers, managers, etc.).
- Ensuring the clean room and parts storage areas are tidy.
- Provide BA/ERT support.
- Contribute constructively to safe operating practices in the clean room.
- Perform risk assessments.
Skills and qualifications
Experience of SPTS etch modules, knowledge of RF test equipment and electronic fault finding would be a benefit.
Minimum Qualifications
BTEC or above in electrical/electronic engineering, mechanical engineering or other relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
