The SPTS division of KLA designs, manufactures and markets wafer processing solutions for the global semiconductor and related industries. SPTS provides industry‑leading etch and deposition process technologies on a range of single wafer handling platforms. End‑market applications include micro‑electromechanical systems (MEMS), advanced packaging, LED, high‑speed RF device ICs and power semiconductors. Group / Division
SPTS wafer processing solutions include market‑leading silicon etch, dielectric etch, dry‑release etch, PVD, PECVD and molecular vapor deposition (MVD®), available with a range of wafer‑handling options applicable to R full on‑the‑job training will be provided through the graduate development scheme. You will then be welcomed into your team and continue your development supported by your KLA mentor.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Develop and demonstrate operational processes to meet agreed manufacturing specifications.
- Contribute constructively to project teams in developing new products that meet the requirements of our global customers.
- Assess results using our fully equipped analytical laboratory and software tools (including Minitab, Excel, etc.).
- Problem‑solve, troubleshoot and investigate faults on manufacturing process solutions.
- Provide regular updates to engineering and operations teams on progress of project work, summarising results in written reports or presentations where required.
- Establish effective customer and team relationships, particularly for clear communication of results and ideas.
- Plan work and execute plans safely, sensibly and in a timely manner. This position may include shift work to fully utilise our state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing cleanroom. Shift patterns will be announced with as much notice as possible. KLA will provide shift allowance in line with company policy.
Required Qualities

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (2:1) in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Applicants with a master’s degree or prior experience within the semiconductor industry are desirable but not required.
- Working knowledge of software tools such as Visual Studio, Azure DevOps and Git would be an advantage.
