Overview

As part of the KLA Central Engineering Group, you design intuitive UX for technical users to simplify complex engineering workflows. You will contribute across the full UX process, from research to high-fidelity design and handoff, while collaborating with product managers and engineers. The role emphasizes accessibility, continuous learning, and a user-centered approach. You will help shape how engineers interact with multi-step, data-heavy systems at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Research & analysis: conduct user research and usability testing to uncover needs and validate concepts
  • Design & prototyping: create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for complex systems
  • Collaboration: align designs with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders
  • Design systems: develop and maintain design systems for consistency across products
  • User experience strategy: advocate for user-centered UX practices
  • Stay updated: monitor trends and best practices in UX/UI design

Key requirements

  • Experience in product/UX design with shipped work in complex or multi-step applications
  • Strong interaction design, prototyping, and UI craft; proficient in Figma/FigJam
  • Experience running usability studies and synthesizing findings
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills; comfortable presenting work and rationale
  • Portfolio showing end-to-end problem solving and team contributions
  • Experience with data-heavy or technical products; comfortable with tables, filters, states, and validation
  • Familiarity with accessibility, localization, and performance considerations is a plus
  • Exposure to design tokens and component libraries is an advantage
