Whether you're early in your career or an experienced professional, you'll solve complex challenges, work alongside brilliant minds and help shape the future of technology.At KLA, we develop industry-leading semiconductor process equipment used by the world's most advanced technology manufacturers.Our state-of-the-art Newport facility spans 237,000 square feet and includes advanced manufacturing areas, cleanrooms, R&D laboratories and customer collaboration spaces supporting technologies across advanced packaging, MEMS, photonics, RF and power device markets.As we continue to grow, we are looking for an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to join our manufacturing team.This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with electrical, electromechanical or manufacturing experience who enjoys fault finding, testing, problem solving and working on highly sophisticated capital equipment.About the RoleAs an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the integration, testing and verification of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, ensuring products meet the highest quality and performance standards before delivery to customers.Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will diagnose issues, carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding, and support continuous improvement activities throughout the manufacturing process.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble, integrate and test semiconductor manufacturing modules and systems.Perform electrical commissioning and verification activities on live equipment.Conduct testing against engineering specifications and manufacturing procedures.Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and fluid power faults.Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and engineering documentation.Carry out cosmetic and functional quality inspections.Record test results and manufacturing data using electronic systems.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency and throughput.Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and product development teams.What We're Looking ForWe welcome applications from engineers from a variety of industries, including semiconductor, aerospace, defence, rail, automotive, electronics manufacturing, industrial equipment, maintenance engineering and armed forces engineering backgrounds.Experience in electrical manufacturing, test, commissioning, maintenance or systems integration.Strong electrical fault-finding skills down to component level.Experience reading electrical schematics and engineering drawings.Knowledge of three-phase and single-phase electrical systems.Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering or technical environment.Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems.Qualifications & ExperienceEssential:HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent practical experience.Electrical engineering background.Semiconductor industry experience.Exposure to pneumatics, fluid systems or industrial automation.Military engineering experience (Royal Navy, RAF, REME, Royal Signals, Royal Engineers or equivalent).Shift PatternMonday to Friday:Week 1: 6:00am to 2:00pm (Mon-Thurs) & 6:00am to 1:00pm (Fri)Week 2: 1:45pm to 10:00pm (Mon-Thurs) & 12:45pm to 6:15pm (Fri)KLA’s benefits package includes: Annual leave starting at 25 days (plus bank holidays), contributory pension scheme, cash health plan, cycle to work scheme, global bonus plan, share scheme, rewards scheme, life assurance, generous shift allowance and overtime premiums.Minimum QualificationsAbout KLAWe provide advanced inspection tools, metrology systems, process solutions, and computational analytics that make electronics possible, tackling complex challenges.
