Overview
As Mechanical Engineering Manager in Central Engineering, you lead a multidisciplinary team across global groups to deliver innovative mechanical solutions for KLA’s semiconductor products. You drive technical excellence, stakeholder alignment, and project delivery while mentoring engineers and fostering collaboration. Your work shapes product life cycles and supports continuous improvement across international teams. This role offers impact across multiple product divisions and a chance to influence how we design for performance at scale.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a growing multidisciplinary team in a collaborative, high-performing environment
- Build and align relationships with internal stakeholders and product groups
- Provide technical guidance on mechanical engineering activities and empower subject-matter experts
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects balancing technical, commercial, quality and schedule factors
- Support full mechanical design lifecycle including requirements, feasibility, design reviews, supplier engagement, integration and testing
- Drive continuous improvement and engineering best practices across the team
- Manage direct reports, contractors and suppliers with accountability for quality and delivery
- Support team growth through recruitment, onboarding, and development
- Collaborate with global colleagues; travel to the US and other locations as needed
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
- Experience leading and developing people in a mechanical/technical environment
- Strong mechanical engineering background with credibility to guide teams
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across technical specialisms
- Strong stakeholder-management and collaboration with multiple product groups and global teams
- Knowledge of mechanical design tools/methods such as 3D CAD, design for manufacture, GD&T, FEA or CFD
- Experience with contractors, subcontractors, turn-key or component suppliers
- Occasional domestic and international travel up to 20%
