Overview
In this role you will contribute to the complete mechanical design of front end modules and components across the product lifecycle, from prototype to production.
You will work with cross-functional teams to define requirements, perform analyses, and deliver robust, manufacturable designs for EFEMs.
Your work will help optimize airflow, tolerances, and assembly integration in semiconductor equipment.
This role offers hands-on engineering impact within a globally collaborating Metrology and Inspection product group.

Responsibilities
- Own the full mechanical design process from requirements through to production release
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design requirements and best practices
- Design components in CREO Parametric 3D (Pro/E) CAD software
- Perform or oversee CFD and FEA analyses to optimize airflow and mechanical performance
- Translate 3D designs into 2D drawings with GD&T tolerancing
- Coordinate with suppliers for component development and on-time delivery
- Lead design/build cycle activities including reviews, prototype parts procurement, integration and testing
- Support product portfolio sustaining and future product qualification
- Key requirements
- Degree level qualification in Engineering or related subject (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in 3D CAD design, ideally CREO Parametric
- Demonstrated ownership of design projects and ability to lead
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, materials, and fabrication/machining
- Experience in 2D drafting and tolerance analysis
- Desirable: CFD, FEA, DFM, welded sheet metal design, measurement instrumentation, data acquisition; programming in Python, C/C++/C# and/or MATLAB
