At KLA we design and manufacture high-tech equipment & products for the global semiconductor industry. Based at our brand new manufacturing facility in Newport, South Wales we are looking for Manufacturing Assemblers to join the team!

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Manual soldering and wire bonding of small electronic components using a microscope
  • Handling and attaching tiny components (dies, resistors, capacitors) with tweezers
  • Mixing compounds for coating, bonding and encapsulation
  • Cutting, welding and forming ultra-fine wire (40 gauge)
  • Microscope inspection (20x) to ensure quality standards
  • Incoming/outgoing quality checks on parts and assemblies
  • Testing assemblies using tools such as voltmeters, calipers and oscilloscopes
  • Cleaning products with dilute chemical solutions

What We're Looking For:

  • A-Level or NVQ qualifications desirable.
  • Experience in small device or electronic assembly
  • Ability to read assembly drawings and basic blueprints
  • Manufacturing/shop-floor experience beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable using MS Office

This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday. There may occasionally be the need to work on a shift basis due to business requirements.
