The SPTS division of KLA designs, manufactures and markets wafer processing solutions for the global semiconductor and related industries. End-market applications include micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), advanced packaging, LED, high speed RF device ICs and power semiconductors. As part of the SPTS Engineering division, the Equipment Engineering and Development Group is a multi-disciplined team, providing automation solutions to enable the integration of SPTS process systems into customer semiconductor fabrication factories worldwide! As the successful candidate, you will be an experienced/proven Electrical/Electronic Design Engineer with a detailed understanding of all aspects of electrical and electronic design. You would be working with other specialists in the group with equipment design/integration and expect to work to tight deadlines in a highly regulated industry.
- Electrical / electronic control and interface design
- Electrical assembly design
- Design of electrical enclosures using Solid Edge
- Wiring harness design
- AC/DC power distribution circuit design
- Analogue and digital circuit design
- RF Circuit Design
- Fault finding / problem solving
- Designing critical safety circuits to comply with EN13849
- Technical report writing
- Producing engineering drawings, build and test guides.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience working in an electrical/electronic design role
- Strong understanding of Machinery safety regulations and EU harmonized standards, EN60204, EN13849 essential
- Understanding of UL/NFPA regulations
- Design of safety circuits
- AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent experience
- 3D CAD experience is desired

- Good analytical and fault finding skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to mentor junior engineers
- Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
