Job Description Responsibilities

  • Designing 3D parts/assemblies using Solid Edge CAD
  • Creating/detailing 2D draft drawings using Solid Edge CAD
  • Creating engineering bills of materials
  • Bill of material cost control
  • Supplier contact
  • Building and testing prototypes
  • Leading small projects from concept to implementation
  • Collaborating with other teams across the company

Qualifications

  • Has experience in designing parts/assemblies and creating/detailing 2D draft drawings using Solid Edge CAD
  • Is experienced in design of machinery
  • Has a proven experience in report writing
  • Has a flexible work ethic, and be willing to work overtime if necessary
  • Can demonstrate analytical and fault‑finding skills
  • Can use their own initiative
  • Had good communication skills
  • Enjoys working in a team environment

Desirable Experience

  • A good understanding of Machinery safety regulations and EU harmonised standards including PL rating, Risk Assessments and CE marking
  • Previous experience of working in the semiconductor or hi‑technology related industry would be advantageous
  • Design for manufacture
  • COMSOL multi‑physics simulation software
  • Some appreciation of software development
  • Some knowledge of ERP/PLM systems
