Job Description Responsibilities
- Designing 3D parts/assemblies using Solid Edge CAD
- Creating/detailing 2D draft drawings using Solid Edge CAD
- Creating engineering bills of materials
- Bill of material cost control
- Supplier contact
- Building and testing prototypes
- Leading small projects from concept to implementation
- Collaborating with other teams across the company
Qualifications
- Has experience in designing parts/assemblies and creating/detailing 2D draft drawings using Solid Edge CAD
- Is experienced in design of machinery
- Has a proven experience in report writing
- Has a flexible work ethic, and be willing to work overtime if necessary
- Can demonstrate analytical and fault‑finding skills
- Can use their own initiative
- Had good communication skills
- Enjoys working in a team environment
Desirable Experience
- A good understanding of Machinery safety regulations and EU harmonised standards including PL rating, Risk Assessments and CE marking
- Previous experience of working in the semiconductor or hi‑technology related industry would be advantageous
- Design for manufacture
- COMSOL multi‑physics simulation software
- Some appreciation of software development
- Some knowledge of ERP/PLM systems
