KL Talent Solutions is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Transport Manager to oversee transport operations across multiple depot locations based in Thetford. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven transport professional who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and has a proven track record of leading teams, managing fleet performance, and ensuring legal compliance across multiple operational sites.
Working Hours
- Basic Weekly Hours: 40 hours
- Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
- Overtime may be required in line with business needs.
The Role
As Transport Manager, you will have overall responsibility for managing transport operations across multiple depots, ensuring the safe, legal, efficient and profitable operation of drivers, vehicles and transport teams. You'll work closely with senior leadership to drive operational excellence, improve service delivery and ensure compliance with all transport legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead driver recruitment, onboarding and retention.
- Manage inductions, training and ongoing development.
- Conduct performance reviews and manage attendance.
- Investigate incidents, complaints and compliance breaches.
- Foster a positive, safety-focused culture across all depots.
