KL Talent Solutions is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Web Designer to join their Marketing Department, supporting the ongoing development of digital platforms across both B2B and B2C audiences. This role plays a key part in delivering, optimising, and maintaining company websites, email marketing assets, digital interfaces, and contributing to the development and ongoing management of a company-wide Design System. The successful candidate will collaborate with Marketing, in-house IT teams, and key stakeholders to deliver a high-performing, consistent, and brand-led digital experience.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Web Designer with strong WordPress and CMS expertise, a user-centred UX/UI approach, and the ability to translate brand and business requirements into effective digital experiences. You will be confident working across both design and front-end fundamentals, with a solid understanding of SEO and accessibility standards. A high level of attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and experience contributing to or managing Design Systems will be highly valued. Experience within B2B or trade-focused environments would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Design & User Experience
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business goals, user requirements, and brand standards.
    • Lead UX/UI improvements to enhance customer experience, usability, and conversion performance.
    • Design and implement website layouts aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Design, Prototyping & Visual Assets
    • Produce wireframes, page layouts, and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma.
    • Design and optimise digital assets including graphics, imagery, icons, and visual content.
    • Support brand consistency across websites, landing pages, and email marketing materials.
  • WordPress & Content Management
    • Build, maintain, and manage WordPress websites, including themes, templates, and page builders.
    • Manage content updates, website structure, and performance optimisation.
    • Ensure WordPress builds remain scalable and maintainable.
  • Usability, SEO & Compliance
    • Ensure websites are intuitive, accessible, and compliant with WCAG accessibility standards.
    • Apply SEO best practices including site structure, page speed optimisation, and on-page improvements.
    • Monitor and enhance UX metrics, search visibility, and overall website performance.
  • Collaboration & Internal Systems
    • Work alongside in-house developers on website integrations.
    • Support marketing campaigns with landing pages, forms, and email templates.
    • Contribute to the UI design of internally developed applications, ensuring brand alignment.
  • Testing, Maintenance & Performance
    • Test websites and applications across multiple browsers and devices.
    • Identify, report, and help resolve bugs or usability issues.
    • Analyse performance data and analytics to drive continuous improvements.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement
    • Stay current with emerging web technologies, UX/UI trends, and digital standards.
    • Proactively recommend improvements to digital platforms, tools, and processes.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Essential
    • Strong WordPress experience including theme and content management.
    • Demonstrated UX/UI design capability with a user-first approach.
    • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Good understanding of SEO fundamentals and web performance optimisation.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholders.
    • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Desirable
    • Experience within B2B manufacturing, construction, or trade sectors.
    • Experience designing internal tools or configurator/quoting interfaces.
    • Familiarity with email marketing platforms and campaign delivery.
    • Experience developing and maintaining Design Systems.
