Position Summary

KKR is seeking to hire Analysts and Associates to join its European Capital Solutions team in London. The successful candidate will play an integral role in evaluating, executing and monitoring investments across the team's strategies, working closely with senior investment professionals in small deal teams. The role offers an opportunity to gain broad investment experience across both credit and equity, with exposure to a variety of businesses, industries, transaction structures and risk-return profiles.

Analysts and Associates will be actively involved in all stages of the investment process, including financial modelling, company and industry research, due diligence, investment committee presentations, transaction execution and portfolio management. A key focus of the role is developing a deep understanding of businesses and forming independent investment views on whether, and on what terms, KKR should commit capital.

The team's lean structure provides junior professionals with meaningful responsibility, direct exposure to senior investors and the opportunity to contribute actively to investment discussions from an early stage. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, intellectual curiosity, commercial judgement and a genuine passion for investing, with the ambition to develop into a well-rounded investment professional.

What The Role Offers

  • Broad investment exposure: Opportunity to develop expertise across the capital structure, combining credit underwriting with equity-style business analysis and investment judgement.
  • Meaningful responsibility: Active involvement in all stages of the investment lifecycle, with the opportunity to take ownership and contribute to investment decisions from an early stage.
  • High-quality transaction experience: Exposure to significant and complex transactions involving leading businesses, financial sponsors and corporate counterparties.
  • Direct exposure to senior investors: Opportunity to learn from and work closely with experienced investment professionals in small, collaborative deal teams.
  • Long-term development: An intellectually stimulating environment focused on developing the analytical, commercial and interpersonal capabilities required to become a successful investor.

Responsibilities

  • Investment Analysis and Underwriting: Evaluate new investment opportunities, developing a detailed understanding of prospective portfolio companies, including their business models, competitive positioning, industry dynamics, financial performance and growth prospects.
  • Due Diligence and Transaction Execution: Participate in all aspects of commercial, financial, operational and legal due diligence, identifying key areas of focus and analysing findings to support investment decisions.

Qualifications

  • Typically 1–3.5 years of relevant experience, with flexibility depending on individual experience and capabilities.
  • Relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit or other principal investing roles.
  • Strong academic record, including an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent financial modelling, accounting, valuation and analytical skills, with a strong understanding of corporate finance and financial statements.
  • Fluency in English; additional European language skills are advantageous.

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS

  • Investment Judgement and Commercial Acumen: Genuine interest in understanding businesses, how they operate, compete and create value.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong quantitative capabilities, intellectual curiosity and ability to analyse complex information, identify key issues and develop well-reasoned conclusions and practical solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate investment theses, present financial and commercial analysis, and communicate and defend investment recommendations.
  • Initiative and Ownership: Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of workstreams, manage competing priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
