KJ Talent & Partners is working exclusively to hire a Senior Demand Planner to join our client’s incredibly talented London-based global team, which is at the heart of the business and its continued growth trajectory.
This demanding role offers highly rewarding long-term opportunities for an individual with confidence, gravitas, and an ability to calmly think on their feet to perform well under pressure within a rapidly evolving working environment, with travel to Paris from time to time.
Reporting to the Head of Demand, you will support and enhance the accuracy of demand forecasting and inventory management to optimise stock levels and meet customer needs. To succeed, you will be highly analytical, with the ability to build strong relationships across global commercial, marketing, finance and supply chain teams.
Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver accurate demand forecasts over a 12- to 18-month horizon
- Ensure accuracy of demand forecasts in reflecting known market activities, product launch timings, and initiatives by building key relationships with commercial, marketing, and manufacturing teams
- Accompany the Head of Demand to customer and factory meetings, providing relevant information
- Monitor and report on key changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
- Identify and help to manage end-of-life and excess stock
- Experience in personal care or the beauty industry is preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced demand planning / forecasting role with stock allocation and supply chain planning experience and an understanding of the wider supply chain
- Knowledge of, and working experience with forecasting, demand planning, and of executing sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes
- Ability to work autonomously across multiple functions
- Experience of working with an ERP system
- Must be very detail-oriented with excellent data analysis skills and the ability to spot anomalies in large data sets
- Must have an understanding and commercial awareness of the total supply chain, including supply planning and customer supply chain teams
