We are working with an FE College who are looking to expand their existing ALS Team, based within our Learner Support Services department, with the addition of an exciting new role- Dyslexia Coordinator and EAA Assessor. Are you passionate about learners getting the right support in order to meet their individual needs? The successful candidate will have previous experience of supporting a wide range of learners, implementing strategies to remove barriers to learning, ensuring that learners have the best possible chance of achieving their potential. You will complete initial assessments and support plans for learners with Dyslexia, personalised to meet individual needs. In addition, you will sure that any exam concessions are put into effect by liaising with the ALS, Exams and Curriculum teams, as per the JCQ guidelines. You will work with the ALS Team to promote a culture of developing student skills with assistive technology as a normal way of working. Successful candidates will: Hold a postgraduate level 7 qualification in Assessing for Access and a current Assessment Practicing Certificate Be educated to degree level and possess a relevant professional qualification Experience of completing EAAs for learners with additional needs Experience of working within a post 16 setting.
