As a buyer, you will be responsible for the procurement of goods and services, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that purchases align with the company\’s needs and budget.
About The Role
Identifying and processing Purchase Orders in line with ERP
Researching, selecting and purchasing quality products and materials
Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best price, quantities and delivery timescales
Processing requisitions and updating the Lead Buyer and Management on the status of orders
Updating inventory and managing stock levels and supporting in regular stocktaking activities
Arranging transport of goods and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery
Understanding the target market and analysing trends to make informed buying decisions to support Cost Savings within the business
Sourcing of bespoke and production parts as required.
Delivering optimum value in quality and cost through supplier negotiation and re-sourcing
Managing suppliers quality and performance for a supply base of 150+ suppliers in line with ISO standards.
Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
Establishing and maintaining inventory levels to meet production demand and support the Aftermarket stocking levels.
Liaising effectively with engineering, production, finance, aftermarket and stores teams.
Verifying Invoice details and queries including pricing and quantity
Coordinating shipping and plant hire to meet installation schedules
To perform in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, especially the Equal Opportunities and Harassment Policy
To perform any other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time in accordance with the assigned role.
