Salary in the range of £33,429 – £46,618 per annum including London Weighting
Overview
Based within our Learning Support team, you will be responsible for the screening, assessment and access arrangements for learners. You will plan, develop, manage, and monitor the overall process of screening, referrals to educational psychologists, Disabled Student Allowance (DSA) applications and Needs Assessments. You will produce reports of assessments to support students application for special arrangements in examinations, and liaise extensively with schools, parents and the Colleges Exams department. You would also teach learners with specific learning difficulties.
Responsibilities

- Teach learners with specific learning difficulties
Qualifications
- Qualified to degree level with a minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector
- Relevant specialist dyslexia qualification (e.g. OCR L7 Diploma in SPLD, PG Dip ADDS or MA SPLD) or willingness to undertake this qualification
- Experience of teaching learners with specific learning difficulties and preferably experience of assessing and supporting students with SPLD (Dyslexia)
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
