Overview: Senior Learning and Care Support Assistant at KittyLili Designs. 36 hours per week, 40 weeks per year to cover term times. Location: Harrow Weald Campus. Actual salary in the range of £30,684 - £32,581 per annum including London Weighting.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the provision of specialist support for students with profound and complex needs.
- Design, develop and implement Individual Care Plans, risk assessments and Individual Support Plans.
- Line manage a team of Learning and Care Support Assistants and ensure the completion of relevant administration.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Trained in Manual Handling, First Aid, Safe Administration of Medication, Epilepsy, Anaphylaxis, Dysphasia and Diabetes including the safe administration of Insulin.
- Experience providing specialist support for young people and knowledge of effective support and intervention strategies for learners with Profound and Complex SEND.
- Experience assessing children/young people to identify individual needs and a good understanding of the range and types of interventions available.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills; ability to liaise effectively with staff across the College; ability to lead a team.
Additional notes: Please note: for individuals who start a term-time-only role after 1 September, the salary will be pro-rated from the start date to 31 August 2026. This ensures correct entitlement to pay and holiday pay relative to the portion of the year worked. Salary paid in equal monthly instalments until 31 August. The salary will revert to the normal arrangements as stated in the advert at the start of the following academic year. Please note, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
