Head of School Health & Social Care and Creative Arts
Location: Uxbridge Campus
HRUC is a successful merged College Group, bringing together Richmond Upon Thames College, Harrow College, and Uxbridge College, based across 5 vibrant campuses. We are now seeking to recruit a Head for our Health & Social Care and Creative Arts School based at the Uxbridge campus, who will be responsible for leading Health & Social Care, Arts, and Media courses from Level 1 to 3.
The school also runs apprenticeships and has a developing Higher Education offer.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of curriculum and support staff.
- Manage the full range of provision on full and part-time courses.
- Ensure the quality of the provision and maintain high qualification achievement rates.
- Oversee apprenticeships and Higher Education developments.
- Lead development planning in the area, supporting the team with preparations for qualification changes.
- Drive towards a skill-based and employer-focused curriculum.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Management experience within Further Education with a strong record of achievement, preferably within Health & Social Care or Creative Arts.
- A degree in a relevant subject area.
- A minimum of Level 5 teaching qualification recognized by the FE sector.
- Good understanding of sector needs and experience of curriculum design with employers.
- Knowledge of relevant awarding body regulations and experience of quality improvement.
- Track record of successful people management.
Experience gained in the Further Education sector is preferable; however, we welcome applicants with experience in a school or Higher Education environment.
