Technician: Art and Design 3D Specialism

36 hours per week, 36 weeks per year to cover term times. Harrow Weald Campus.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff and students in a wide range of art and design activities in 3D workshops.
• Prepare, monitor and maintain equipment and materials.
• Assist with demonstrations of equipment and processes, including CAD/CAM machinery and software.
• Operate and maintain laser cutters, 3D printers and CNC routers.
• Supervise classes of learners in Active Learning Facilitator sessions in the teaching areas.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Art and Design, with experience in an art and design related role, focus on 3D work.
• Experience using 3D equipment/machinery including a laser cutter.
• Excellent communication skills, flexibility and enthusiasm for working with young people in a creative environment.

Employment Details

• Full-time, term time only Technician within the Science team of the Colleges successful Sixth Form delivering GCSE, A Levels and vocational Science courses.
• Salaries pro-rated from start date to 31 August 2026 for individuals starting after 1 September; paid in equal monthly instalments until 31 August.
• Salary reverts to normal arrangements at the start of the following academic year.
• No sponsorship available.
