Off the back of this exciting growth, a new regional office has been established in Gravesend, Kent – and we’re now looking for a Technical Manager to join the leadership team at this early, influential stage.
This role is highly strategic, reporting directly to the CEO, and offers the chance to shape the region’s technical direction from the outset.
The Role
As Technical Manager, you will take the lead on all technical and design matters, from pre-construction through to delivery. Your focus will be on ensuring robust design coordination, overseeing section agreements (278, 38, 104), and driving technical excellence across a pipeline of major residential and mixed-use schemes. This is a hands-on, senior role with full visibility across project lifecycles and real opportunity to shape both process and culture in a growing regional team.
Key Responsibilities

- Handle all aspects of Section Agreements (278, 38, 104), liaising with statutory authorities
- Review and approve technical drawings, submittals, and specifications
- Ensure technical designs meet planning, regulatory, and programme requirements
- Identify technical risks early and resolve design issues in collaboration with consultants and site teams
- Report directly to the CEO with regular updates on design and technical matters
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Background as a Technical Manager or Senior Design Manager with a Tier 1 main contractor or housing developer
- Proven experience on £50m–£100m+ high-rise residential and mixed-use developments
- Strong working knowledge of Section 278, 38, and 104 Agreements and utility coordination
- Highly proficient in managing complex RC Frame, envelope, and MEP design packages
- Strong communicator with the gravitas to liaise at all levels – including local authorities and the CEO
