Project Director
East Midlands | Hybrid working
Up to £90,000 + Package
If I’m honest, this is one of the most exciting roles I’ve had on my desk in a while!!
A major strategic development, real ownership, and the chance to shape a new community from the ground up. My client is looking for a Project Director to take full ownership of infrastructure, utilities and planning obligations across a development in the East Midlands, reporting into the Technical Director.
You’ll be the single point of contact, ensuring each phase comes forward on time... and trust me, you’ll be everyone's go-to person.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading delivery of all strategic and phase-specific infrastructure: highways, drainage, earthworks, utilities and enabling works
- Owning the utilities strategy, managing ICPs, IDNOs, telecoms and securing network capacity and reinforcements
- Keeping a live schedule of planning conditions and driving discharge submissions with consultants and the LPA
- Managing highways and drainage adoptions
- Being the main contact for the Local Planning Authority, Highway Authority, Environment Agency, utility providers, landowners and contractors
- Running infrastructure programmes, risk registers and budgets, and spotting value engineering opportunities
What I’m looking for:
- Significant experience delivering large-scale residential or mixed-use developments
- Strong knowledge of planning conditions, S106 agreements, infrastructure delivery, utilities and phasing.
- Experience working with local authorities and statutory undertakers
- Strong programme and commercial awareness
Nice to have:
- Strategic urban extension or new settlement experience
- Degree in Engineering, Planning, Construction or similar
- RTPI, ICE, RICS or similar membership
