We are working with a privately owned developer known for its strong reputation, and are proud to have achieved 5-star status for six consecutive years! The company operates with a flat, family-first structure and offers a more personal environment compared to many other developers. It is not heavily KPI driven and instead values trust, autonomy, and people being able to manage their own workload. You will report to the Managing Director and be trusted to manage your own projects and planning function without constant pressure or micromanagement. The team is supportive, understanding, and realistic about life outside of work. Family comes first here, and flexibility is offered when needed.

The Role

  • Oversee the planning process across residential developments, including:
    • Managing planning applications from submission through to approval
    • Liaising with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders
    • Supporting land and technical teams throughout the planning process
    • Reviewing planning policy and identifying potential risks
    • Coordinating external consultants and planning requirements
    • Assisting with strategic planning across developments

  • Previous experience within planning, ideally in residential development or housebuilding
  • Strong understanding of the UK planning system
  • Someone who is organised and confident in managing multiple projects
