Construction Director – New Build Housing

We are working with a successful housebuilder looking to appoint an experienced Construction Director to lead their Midlands region.
This role requires someone who is already operating at Construction Director level and has a proven track record of leading and developing high‑performing teams while delivering quality homes safely, on programme and ready for customer handover on time.
We're looking for a genuine leader rather than a manager. Someone who motivates, supports and develops their people, creates a positive culture and gets the best out of those around them.
Working closely with other departments is essential, particularly Sales, to navigate a challenging market.
Key Requirements
- Currently operating as a Construction Director for a housebuilder.
- Strong leadership skills with a supportive and motivational approach.
- Proven ability to build, lead and develop successful teams.
- Experience delivering homes safely, on programme and achieving customer handovers on time.
- Able to work effectively with Sales, Commercial, Technical and wider business functions.
- Commercially aware and understands the challenges of today's market.
- Proactive, solutions-focused and able to think outside the box when challenges arise.
- Comfortable challenging the norm and finding new ways to improve performance.
- Experience within a volume housebuilder and/or partnership housing environment would be highly desirable.
